Khongoryn Els Sand Dune is a beautiful, highest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. It’s located in Sevrei sum, South Gobi province. These dunes are Located to the foot of the high Altai Mountains range, the dunes are up to 300m high, 12km wide and about 100km long on the northern part of the mountains of Sevrei and Zuulun Mountain. The Dune called “Duut Mankhan”
The Local people call that by Singing Dunes because of the sound produced by masses of sand moving in the wind can be heard from afar. That’s why the dunes have been given the name ‘The Singing Sands’ or ‘Duut Mankhan’. Near the Khongoryn Gol at the northern edge of the sand dunes is an oasis. This place is main point of Gobi tour. Mostly our tour stay 2 nights, one day is not enough there. You can climbing sand dune and camel riding. Also, you can see a beautiful stars during night in the Gobi desert.
