Altai 5 Bogd is Mongolia’s highest mountain with a peak of 4374m above sea level bordering Mongolia, China and Russia. People who love hiking should visit this place and it's optional to hike the Malchin peak which is one of the 5 main peaks. Eagle hunting is a tradition inherited down to generations from our ancient ancestors and you’ll get to learn and experience more than what you would expect.
Daily Itinerary

Day 1:Uran Togoo
Uran Togoo is a striking volcanic hill rising unexpectedly from Mongolia’s wide open steppe. Its smooth, rounded slopes were formed by ancient lava flows, and a short hike to the summit rewards you with sweeping views over endless grasslands dotted with grazing livestock.

Day 2:2nd Day at Khuvsgul lake
The lake and its surroundings are part of Khuvsgul National Park, which protects diverse wildlife, including ibex, moose, and various bird species. Visitors can engage in numerous activities, such as hiking, and horseback riding. In winter, the frozen lake becomes the site of the annual Ice Festival, where locals and tourists participate in traditional games, ice skating, and cultural performances.

Day 3:Horse herders
Horse riding is part of Mongolia's culture, learning how to ride like Mongols might be challenging but we make it easier. Before we set our journey to the deep forest called Taiga we have to do preparation here.

Day 4:Khuvsgul Lake
Lake Khuvsgul, often referred to as the "Blue Pearl of Mongolia," is one of the largest and most pristine freshwater lakes in Asia. Located in northern Mongolia near the Siberian border, the lake stretches over 130 kilometers and is surrounded by the towering Khoridol Saridag Mountains. It contains nearly 70% of Mongolia’s fresh water and is considered sacred by the local people.

Day 5:Tsaatan - Reindeer herders tribe
The Tsaatan reindeer herders live in the remote taiga of northern Mongolia and are among the last reindeer-herding cultures in the world. Their lifestyle depends entirely on their reindeer for transport, food, and survival. Visitors can stay with Tsaatan families, learn about shamanistic traditions, and experience daily nomadic life. Reaching the area requires trekking or horseback riding, offering a true off-the-grid adventure.

Day 6:Reindeers
We stay another day to learn more and explore the terrain more.

Day 7:back to Horse herder's family
Horse riding is part of Mongolia's culture, learning how to ride like Mongols might be challenging but we make it easier. Before we set our journey to the deep forest called Taiga we have to do preparation here.

Day 8:Boshloi the Rock
Legends and Fairy tails of this Rock make sense of why it looks dramatic and beautiful but depending on the weather this destination can be canceled.

Day 9:Tesiin Gol - Tes River
Tes river is a beautiful place we camp at while enjoying the scene from Mongolian nature.

Day 10:Ulaagchiin Khar Us Lake
Ulaagchiin Khar Us Lake is a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by sand dunes and mountains in Zavkhan Province. The contrast between blue water and golden dunes creates stunning scenery. The lake is home to fish and birdlife and has long supported nomadic communities. Activities include camping fishing, hiking, and photography.

Day 11:Mukhartiin Gol - Mukhart River
Mukhart river is a natural wonder where a bowl-shaped sand dune releases fresh water from beneath its sands, forming a river that flows outward against the dry desert surroundings.

Day 12:Khyrgas lake
khyrgas lake is large salty lake known for its deserty landscape with white clay around and Khetsuu khad cliffs is a beautiful site surrounded with natural uniquely structured white rocks.
Day 13:Bayan-ulgii city
Bayan Ulgii is a city located in very west of Mongolia. People from this region are mostly Khazakh and their culture is little bit different from casual Mongolians.

Day 14:Khazakh Family
In Mongolia there are many small nations that are nomads and Kazakh people are one of them which they mainly live in Bayan-Ulgii region. Their culture and tradition significantly different from majority of Mongolian's and they are beautiful.

Day 15:Return To Khazakh Family
We go back to Kazakh Family before we set our journey to the next destination.

Day 16:Altai 5 Bogd National Park, Base camp
Camel caravan will come to pick up all the luggage and we follow them along to the base camp, it's located at altitude of 3050 meters above sea level.

Day 17:2nd day with Eagle hunters
On the 2nd day with Eagle hunters we learn about their culture and their lifestyle.

Day 18:Eagle hunter
Eagle hunting is more than a tradition, it is a way of life that requires exceptional skill and a deep bond between the hunter and the eagle. The training process starts when the eagle is a young chick and involves years of dedication. Eagles are used to hunt foxes, wolves, hares, and other small animals, providing fur and food for the community.
Day 19:fly back to Ulaanbaatar
